Access Control
Access control: the ultimate entryway protection.
Cards, PINs, tokens, mobile credentials and biometric readers backed by electronic and electromagnetic locks. Every entryway on one system, with schedules, permissions and an audit trail of who went where.

Overview
Every door, one system, full control.
Keys get copied and lost. Access control replaces them with credentials you can issue, restrict and revoke in seconds: a card, a PIN, a phone or a fingerprint. Each door gets a reader and a lock that holds, and the system logs every entry.
Harb's technicians are educated in authentication and lock hardware, so the system is designed around your doors and your people, from a single office suite to an airport with hundreds of controlled openings.

What a Harb access control system gives you
Credentials your way
Cards, fobs, PINs, mobile credentials and biometrics, mixed and matched by door and by person.
Locks that hold
Electric strikes, electromagnetic locks and electrified hardware selected for each door type.
Schedules and permissions
Unlock the lobby at 8, lock it at 6, and give each person access only where and when they need it.
Audit trails
A record of every entry and every denied attempt, searchable by door, person and time.
One site or many
Manage every building from one screen, with the same credentials working across locations.
Works with cameras and alarms
See the video of a door event and arm the alarm when the last person badges out.
What we install
Access control hardware we install
We choose the reader and lock for each opening, then tie them to one controller and management platform.
- Readers
- Card and fob, keypad, mobile-credential and biometric readers, indoor and weatherproof.
- Electric strikes
- Replace the strike plate so the door releases on a valid credential while the latch still works.
- Electromagnetic locks
- Strong holding force for glass doors, gates and openings where a strike is not practical.
- Door hardware
- Request-to-exit sensors, door position switches, push bars and closers so doors are secure and code-compliant.
- Controllers
- Door controllers sized for your opening count, with room to add doors later.
- Management software
- Local or cloud-hosted platforms to issue credentials, set schedules and review events.
How Harb delivers access control
We survey every door, design the hardware around it and program the system so your team manages it without us, though we are always a call away.
Step 1: Free on-site walkthrough
We walk every opening with you, note door types, traffic and fire-egress requirements, and learn who needs to go where.
Step 2: Design and written proposal
We specify a reader and lock for each door, size the controllers, choose the software and price the complete system in writing.
Step 3: Installation by Harb crews
Our own technicians run the cabling, mount the hardware and configure the system. We keep the site tidy and your operations running.
Step 4: Training and ongoing support
We issue the first credentials, set schedules and permissions with you and train your administrators. Adding doors or users later is simple.
Where our access control goes to work
Harb manages controlled entryways for Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and for single-door offices with the same care.
Airports and transit
Hundreds of controlled openings across terminals, ramps and operations areas.
Healthcare
Pharmacy, records and staff-only areas with audit trails for compliance.
Schools and churches
Locked-down entrances with scheduled unlocks for arrival and events.
Offices and multi-tenant
Suite doors, lobbies, elevators and parking on one credential.
FAQ
Questions about access control
Still have a question? Call (440) 783-0216 and talk to a technician, not a call center.
Which credential should we use?
Cards and fobs are simple and inexpensive. Mobile credentials use the phone people already carry. PINs need no hardware to issue. Biometrics suit high-security areas. Most sites mix them, and we help you decide door by door.
What happens during a power outage?
We design each door to fail the way code and your security needs require: electromagnetic locks release for safe egress, while electric strikes can hold locked. Battery backup keeps the system running through short outages.
Can it work with our existing doors?
Almost always. We select strikes, magnetic locks or electrified hardware to fit the doors and frames you have, and we will flag any door that needs to be replaced.
Can I manage it from my phone?
Yes. Cloud-hosted platforms let you unlock doors, add or remove users and review events from a phone or browser anywhere.
Can you integrate it with our cameras and alarm?
Yes. Harb installs all three, so door events can pull up video and the alarm can arm automatically when the building empties.
