Alarms & Fire

Intrusion alarms that protect the building when nobody is there.

Wired or wireless alarm systems with motion sensing, door and window sensors and automatic light-signaled protection. Arm and disarm from a keypad or your phone, self-monitored or professionally monitored.

Overview

Sensors, sirens and smart control, sized to your building.

An alarm system is only as good as its coverage. Harb designs yours around how your building is actually used: which doors staff use after hours, where inventory sits, which windows face the alley. Then we choose wired or wireless sensors to match the construction.

When something trips, the system reacts immediately: sirens, lights and a notification to your phone, and to a monitoring center if you choose professional monitoring.

  • Wired or wireless sensors
  • Motion, door and glass-break detection
  • Light-signaled protection
  • Arm from keypad or phone
  • Self- or professionally monitored

What a Harb alarm system includes

  • Motion detection

Pet- and false-alarm-tolerant motion sensors placed to cover rooms, corridors and open floors.

  • Door and window sensors

Wired or wireless contacts on every entry point, including overhead and roll-up doors.

  • Light-signaled protection

Exterior lighting that responds automatically to an alarm, drawing attention and deterring intruders.

  • Control from your phone

Arm, disarm, check status and receive alerts from the same app your staff already carry.

  • Monitoring options

Self-monitor from your phone or add professional monitoring that dispatches police when you cannot respond.

  • Works with your cameras

Tie alarms to cameras so an event pulls up the video clip that caused it.

What we install

Alarm components we install

Every system is built from a short list of proven parts. We choose the right mix for your building and explain each one on the estimate.

Control panel and keypads
The brain of the system, with keypads at the entrances your staff actually use.
Motion sensors
Passive infrared and dual-technology sensors for interiors, with pet-immune options for homes.
Door and window contacts
Surface or recessed, wired or wireless, including heavy-duty contacts for overhead doors.
Glass-break and shock sensors
Detect breaking glass or forced entry before an intruder is inside.
Sirens and strobes
Interior and exterior sounders plus light-signaled protection on the building exterior.
Communicators
Cellular and internet communicators that report to your phone or a monitoring center.

How Harb delivers an alarm system

Design, installation, programming and training from one local crew, with the same technicians available afterward.

A Harb technician visits your property, listens to what you need to protect and maps the site with you. No charge, no obligation.

  2. Step 2: Design and written proposal

We map every entry point and interior zone, choose wired or wireless sensors for your construction and price the system in writing.

  3. Step 3: Installation by Harb crews

Our own technicians run the cabling, mount the hardware and configure the system. We keep the site tidy and your operations running.

  4. Step 4: Training and ongoing support

We program user codes, set up the app and monitoring, and show your team how to arm, disarm and respond. Service and additions are one call away.

Where our alarm systems go to work

The same commercial-grade equipment protects a single home and a multi-building campus. Only the sensor count changes.

  • Retail and restaurants

After-hours protection for storefronts, stockrooms and cash handling.

  • Warehouses and industrial

Overhead doors, yards and inventory areas with heavy-duty sensors.

  • Offices

Zoned arming so cleaning crews and early arrivals do not trip the whole building.

  • Homes and condos

Family-friendly systems with pet-immune motion and phone control.

FAQ

Questions about alarm systems

Still have a question? Call (440) 783-0216 and talk to a technician, not a call center.

  • Wired or wireless: which should I choose?

Wired sensors suit new construction and buildings where we can run cable cleanly. Wireless suits finished spaces, historic buildings and fast installs. Many systems mix both, and we recommend the right split during the walkthrough.

  • What is light-signaled protection?

Exterior lights tied to the alarm that switch on or flash when the system trips. It draws attention to the building and makes it obvious to neighbors and responders that something is happening.

  • Do I have to pay for monitoring?

No. You can self-monitor from your phone at no monthly cost. Professional monitoring is optional and adds a monitoring center that dispatches police or fire when you cannot respond.

  • Can you take over my existing alarm?

Often, yes. We can reuse compatible sensors and wiring and replace only the panel and communicator. We will inspect what you have and tell you what is worth keeping.

  • Will it work with my cameras and access control?

Yes. Harb installs all three, so we design them to work together: an alarm event can pull up video and lock or unlock doors from one app.
