Gates, Parking & Screening

Barrier gates and inductive loops for dependable vehicle detection.

Barrier gates, slide and swing gate operators and in-ground inductive loops that detect vehicles reliably at garages, lots and gated sites. Engineered, installed and serviced by the same Harb crews.

Barrier gate arm rising as a vehicle passes over an in-ground inductive loop

Overview

Every lane opens when it should, and only when it should.

A gate is only as good as its detection. Inductive loops cut into the pavement sense a vehicle's metal mass, so the arm rises for a car, holds for a pedestrian and closes safely behind. Harb saw-cuts, seals and tunes loops for each lane and pairs them with the right gate operator.

We also tie gates to access control and license plate cameras, so residents, employees and paying customers get through without a guard and everyone else does not.

What a Harb gate and loop installation gives you

  • Barrier gates

Fast, durable arm gates for garages, lots and toll-style lanes, sized for traffic volume.

  • Inductive loops

In-ground loops for arming, safety and free exit, cut and sealed to last through Ohio winters.

  • Safety first

Loops, photo eyes and edge sensors so a gate never closes on a vehicle or a person.

  • Credential entry

Cards, fobs, keypads, intercoms and mobile credentials at the lane.

  • License plate capture

Plate cameras that open the gate for registered vehicles and record everyone else.

  • Service and repair

Loop diagnostics, operator maintenance and fast repair when a lane goes down.

What we install

Gate and detection equipment we install

We match the operator to the opening and the traffic, then design the loop layout for reliable detection in every lane.

Barrier arm operators
High-cycle arm gates for parking and toll-style lanes, with breakaway arms.
Slide and swing gate operators
Operators for fence-line gates at yards, storage facilities and gated communities.
Inductive loops and detectors
Saw-cut loops with sealed lead-ins and tuned detectors for arming, safety and exit.
Safety devices
Photo eyes, edge sensors and warning signage per gate safety standards.
Lane credentials
Readers, keypads, intercoms and mobile credentials mounted at driver height.
License plate readers
Plate cameras integrated with the gate controller and your access control.

How Harb delivers gates and loops

Pavement work, electrical, gate hardware and access integration from one crew, scheduled around your traffic.

  1. Step 1: Free on-site walkthrough

We survey each lane, measure the opening, check power and conduit and watch how traffic actually moves.

  2. Step 2: Design and written proposal

We select operators, lay out loops for each lane, specify credentials and cameras and price the project in writing.

  3. Step 3: Installation by Harb crews

Harb crews saw-cut and seal loops, set operators and posts, run power and control wiring and tune detection lane by lane.

  4. Step 4: Training and ongoing support

We test every lane with you, train your staff and provide service for operators and loops as they age.

FAQ

Questions about gates & inductive loops

Still have a question? Call (440) 783-0216 and talk to a technician, not a call center.

  • What is an inductive loop?

A loop of wire cut into the pavement and connected to a detector. When a vehicle's metal mass passes over it, the detector senses the change and signals the gate to open, stay open or close. It is the most reliable vehicle detection available.

  • Can you repair a loop that stopped working?

Yes. We diagnose loop faults, re-cut and seal damaged sections and replace detectors. Loop repair is one of our most common service calls.

  • Can the gate open automatically for our employees?

Yes. We add card, fob or mobile-credential readers at the lane, or license plate cameras that recognize registered vehicles and open the gate hands-free.

  • How do you keep the gate from hitting a car?

Safety loops, photo eyes and edge sensors are part of every installation and prevent the arm from closing while a vehicle or person is in the path.
