The challenge
An airport that never closes
A commercial airport runs 24 hours a day, and its security systems have to do the same. Cleveland Hopkins spans ticketing halls, concourses, baggage areas, roadways, parking structures and secured airside zones, each with its own coverage needs and its own rules about who is allowed in.
Federal regulations govern how secured-area doors are controlled, who can hold a credential and how each entry is recorded. Every installation window also has to fit around flight schedules, construction projects and the daily flow of passengers. The airport needed one provider that could design for all of it, install without disruption and answer the phone when something failed.
